I received this email from Cadet Miranda and wanted to Post on his Behalf...

Commander Tazz,

This is Cadet Miranda, one of the USAF cadets who played paintball on 18 Oct 2008. I just want to extend, on behalf of the USAF cadets, our gratitude for hosting a "tac and defend" paintball scenario. Honestly, it was my first time to play paintball. I am happy that I had the chance to really learn different factors that play in the real battlefield from your hosted event. It was a memorable experience not only for me, but also to other USAF cadets who attended the event. We are excited to play with your team again in the future.

Thank you again.

Sincerely,
Gavino Miranda

Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.

I received this email from Cadet Miranda posting on his Behalf:

I would say, and I am positive with this one, that I was the person who you were referring to at the debriefing on Saturday. I was laughing out loud. ( I was the one who was shot on the face while attempting to reinforce the firepower of one of my teammates) Overall, it was a fun experience. I played Full Spectrum Warrior in videogames and I would tell you that some terminology and movements tactics are similar. However, the rush of adrenaline and the fast pace of critical thinking while engage in a battle are the ones I have learned from playing on Saturday. Like our Col. said, it was the "closest thing to the real deal".

Thank you again.

Sincerely,
Gavino Miranda

I received this email from Capt. Charles Washuk posting in his Behalf:

Ralph,
I think the day went great.  My main hope was that there would be some tactical exercises and there were, so I was pleased and I know the cadets had a blast.  Your staff did a kick arse job as well.  So all in all, I was very impressed...you guys know what you're doing!

I bet next semester we'll have more, since word of mouth with travel fast.  We'll keep in touch!

Thank you,

CHARLES M. WASHUK, Capt, USAF
AFROTC, Det. 040, Los Angeles
Commandant of Cadets

In Behalf of Douglas C. Erlenbusch, Col, USAF Commander:

"Mr. Gonzalez",

On behalf of AFROTC Detachment 040, I would like to thank you for the outstanding traning you provided our cadets on 18 October 2008. It was a challenge for our officer candidates to plan, organize and execute under "direct fire". While I know the cadets enjoyed themselves, the experience also provided them opportunity to learn a very valuble lesson in leadership.

In addition, I cannot thank you enough for the courtesy and professionalism demonstrated by your staff. Your team allowed the cadets to focus on the mission at hand, while ensuring the safety of all participants.

Again, thank you very much! I know the cadets will be looking forward to the next opportunity to be challenged by Bandits Splat Paintball.

DOUGLAS C. ERLENBUSCH, Col, USAF
Commander"
