What an honor it is to have received a letter of appreciation and a detachment coin on behalf of the LT Col, USAF:

SUBJECT: Letter of Appreciation

1. On behalf of UCLA AFROTC Detachment 055, I would like to pass on my sincere appreciation for your dedication in making our Paintball TACEX on 25 Apr 09 a very successful and enjoyable time for the cadets. The cadets, who participated in the event, raved about how great of a time they had and how much they learned. This positive training experience has provided the cadets with a greater understanding of teamwork and the value behind it.

2. Additionally, the training provided a valuable opportunity for the cadets to plan, organize and execute under a stressful, "wartime" exercise environment. I would also like to thank your staff for exemplifying courtesy and professionalism to all the cadets and my Commandant of Cadets.

3. In appreciation of your efforts, I have included a detachment coin which is a small token of my gratitude. Again, thank you for hosting the event . We look forward to the next event with the Bandits Splat Paintball.

SUBJECT: Letter of Appreciation

Bandits Splat Paintball is proud to Host Events. The Bandits are honored to host "Tac and Defend" Events for the USAF cadets. The cadets show up for a fun-filled day of war simulation with all equipment, ammo, water and snacks provided. Here is what Colonel Douglas C. Erlenbusch had to say

about the first day of cadet training:

"Mr. Gonzalez,

On behalf of AFROTC Detachment 040, I would like to thank you for the outstanding traning you provided our cadets on 18 October 2008. It was a challenge for our officer candidates to plan, organize and execute under "direct fire". While I know the cadets enjoyed themselves, the experience also provided them opportunity to learn a very valuble lesson in leadership.

In addition, I cannot thank you enough for the courtesy and professionalism demonstrated by your staff. Your team allowed the cadets to focus on the mission at hand, while ensuring the safety of all participants.

Again, thank you very much! I know the cadets will be looking forward to the next opportunity to be challenged by Bandits Splat Paintball.

DOUGLAS C. ERLENBUSCH, Col, USAF
Commander"
